Weekly Focus Times

Our workshop is a dynamic and continually-evolving environment driven by the demands, interests, and needs of our greater community. Focus times are centered around creating a space where people with common interests can gather and discuss projects, get help, or simply appreciate being among kindred spirits.

Focus Times are open to the general public, though safety restrictions do apply*. There is no cost to attend Focus Times, though we are always grateful for your generous donation to help cover costs.

*Access to some tools and all machines is restricted to Ideaworks members with Shop Area Lead approval.

Wooly Wednesday

Wednesday 5 P.M. – 7 P.M.

On Hiatus

Ideaworks Textiles Room

The universal process of adding twist into loose plant, animal hair, or synthetic fibers is called spinning. On Wednesday nights with spindles, spinning wheels and other tools, we share our knowledge about different fibers and fiber processing, and offer you the experience of fiber processing and spinning.

Knitters and crocheters - the creative users of the end product of this fiber processing - are welcome to join us to expand and share their skills. Come in, see what we have to offer. You might develop a fascination for yet another set of maker skills!
